- Don't get fancy with the first 2 rounds - Pick reliable players that perform every year.
- Be flexible - You don't have to take 2 running backs if there is a better player available.
- Avoid the hype - Don't get caught taking a high-upside player too early.
- Don't wait too long to take a QB.
- Pay attention to the schedule - Easier schedules result in more points, watch the bye weeks.
- Plan the first 5 rounds of your draft, then make at least 2 backup plans.
- Draft a great player in round 6 or 7 - Some of my best teams resulted from great drafts in these rounds.
- Get a good Tight End - Its become a more important position than it used to be.
- Load up on running backs in the later rounds.
- Don't draft a kicker or defense until the last 2 rounds.
