Jacksonville Jaguars Running Backs

Split-backfields can be a fantasy football nightmare. Although the overall rushing yards for the team may be great, the individual yards for each RB may simply be mediocre. Its difficult to count on an RB in a split-backfield providing a consistent level of scoring.

The Jacksonville Jaguars may be this years biggest backfield dilemma. The sometimes spectacular, injury-prone RB Fred Taylor will share carries with the explosive sophomore Maurice Jones-Drew.

This will certainly be a solid fantasy scoring backfield. However, if you are looking for consistency, you may want to look elsewhere.

If I were to pick an RB from this combo, I would certainly lead towards Jones-Drew, who is younger and has a higher upside. But the presence of Fred Taylor will certainly reduce his touches throughout the season.
