Fantasy Football League - Waiver Wire

Playing the waiver wire correctly is one of the most important aspects of running a successful fantasy football team. You should check the wire at least once a day and keep up on all of the injuries.

It's important to know who a player's back-up is in case that player gets injured. For example, Larry Johnson took over for Priest Holmes late in the year last year and put up numbers that were nearly as big as Priest's.

This is important especially late in the year when players are injured or are resting up for the playoffs.

Keep a close eye on the Tennesee Titans situation this year. Chris Brown was the starter last year but he was frequently injured. They traded for Travis Henry in the off-season. I wouldn't be suprised if Henry is the starter for most of the year. But if one player goes down, the other player is certainly capable of putting up solid numbers.
