Fantasy Football - Fantasy News From Around the NFL: Week 3

Week 3 is quickly approaching and its time to start setting your lineup. Here are some of the top developments in the NFL leading up to Sunday.

1. The Vikings have announced that Michael Bennett will remain the teams starter at running back for week 3, despite his poor performance. Mewelde Moore has been the top candidate to replace Bennett at the #1 position. Neither player has produced numbers worthy of a fantasy football start this season.

2. Vikings wide receiver Nate Burleson is listed as doubtful on the teams injury report and may not play again until week 6 when the team returns from its bye week. Burleson had huge upside when the season began, but has dissapointed thus far, as the Vikings offense has sputtered.

3. Carolina Panthers running back Stephen Davis has been a nice suprise this season, rushing for 2 touchdowns last week. But he was unable to practice Wednesday due to a neck injury and is questionable for this weeks game against the Miami Dolphins. DeShaun Foster will most likely carry more of the load if Davis is unable to play this week.

4. Eagle's wide receiver Terrell Owens and quarterback Donovan McNabb both sat out practice Wednesday with groin injurys but are expected to play Sunday. They should be in store for another big day against the Raiders this week.

5. Jets running back Curtis Martin is listed as questionable for week 3 with a bruised right knee. Martin has gotten off to a tough start this year and will be replaced by Derrick Blaylock if he is unable to play on Sunday.
