Is Daunte Culpepper a Good Fantasy Football Draft Pick?

With the Oakland Raiders QB JaMarcus Russell still unsigned, it is pretty certain that Daunte Culpepper will be the starting quarterback this year...probably for most of the season. We all know that Culpepper was once rated right next to Peyton Manning for fantasy football starting quarterbacks. But last year he struggled with the Miami Dolphins, partly due to a lack of mobility. Culpepper clearly had not fully recovered from his knee injury.

This year marks another fresh start for Culpepper. However, it most likely won't result in better statistics for Culpepper. Oakland's offensive line is a mess, and they lost talent when Randy Moss was traded to the New England Patriots. Keep Culpepper in mind as a deep sleeper, but don't expect much out of him in Oakland. The team is simply not good enough to perform.
